INCLEMENT WEATHER
The grounds are owned by Gold Coast City Council and they operate a website to advise of any ground closures at http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/mobile/thegoldcoast/sports-field-closures-26888.html
Parkwood Sharks grounds are listed under Musgrave Sports Park.
The council update the above website daily at 8.30am and 2pm.
In the event of field closures, training or game cancellations, coaches will be advised to then notify their team, in addition to the information being posted on the Parkwood Sharks Facebook page.
Each player is expected to attend training. Please ensure you inform your coach or team manager if you (or your child) is unable to attend training.
While your child is at training, where possible, you must remain at the club. If you are unable to stay during their training, please ensure your team manager or coach are aware in case of an emergency. Training is not to be used as a babysitting service.
The coaches are there to coach – inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and it is not responsibility of coaching staff to discipline your child.
All players are to be respectful to their coach and manager.
Please refrain from coaching your children individually at home. The players are being taught to play as a team, with each player learning roles their team-mates will come to rely on. A player who abandons his team-mates to do something his parents have coached him to do, is letting down his team, his coaches and himself.
Parents are as important to the success of the team as the players. Please communicate with your coach and keep them informed about problems that may be going on with your child such as illness or emotional trauma.
